Method 2 · Draw online

Graph paper you can draw on, right in your browser

Sketch a floor plan, plot a function, write music, practice calligraphy or design a cross-stitch pattern on an endless canvas that grows as far as you pan. Open Paper to pick any of the 36 paper types and set the spacing, colors, page size and orientation. Lines, rectangles and ellipses snap to the paper’s own grid (squares, triangles, hexagons or staff lines), so everything lines up. Hold Alt to place freely.

Your work autosaves in this browser after every change. Use Share link to copy a URL that contains the whole drawing. There is no account and no upload. Export a PNG for slides, an SVG for design apps, or a PDF that prints at true size. On the endless canvas the export is cut around your drawing; switch Endless off to work on a single page such as A4 or Letter.

Frequently asked questions

Is my drawing saved?

Yes. It autosaves in your browser (localStorage) after every change, so it is still there when you come back on the same device. Nothing is uploaded.

How does the share link work?

The whole drawing is compressed into the link itself. Anyone who opens it sees your drawing, and nothing is stored on a server. Very large drawings are better shared as an exported file.

Is the canvas unlimited?

Yes. With Endless on (the default), grid, dot, isometric, hexagon, coordinate, lined, music and other repeating papers continue in every direction, so you can pan and zoom as far as you like. Exports then cover your whole drawing. Turn Endless off to draw on a single page at its real size, for example A4 or Letter. Papers with a fixed page layout, such as Cornell notes, polar paper or the Smith chart, always use a page.

Which papers can I draw on?

All 36 paper types from the generator, plus a blank sheet: square, dot, isometric, hexagonal, coordinate plane, polar, log, music staff, Cornell notes, calligraphy, perspective, storyboard, Smith chart and more. Open Paper settings to change the type, spacing, colors, page size and orientation. Your drawing stays in place when you switch.

Can I plot coordinates?

Choose the coordinate plane (or polar, number line or Wulff net) and use the point tool (D). Points snap to the grid and are labeled with their (x, y) coordinates relative to the axes.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. Draw with one finger or a stylus, and pan or pinch-zoom with two fingers.
